Since launching on 1 September, Tokio Marine GX has spent a busy quarter out in the market, engaging in conversations around the new generation of technologies shaping the next phase of the green transition, including nuclear, hydrogen and data centres, as well as more ‘traditional’ renewables and energy storage.

From London to Marrakesh to Houston, our Chairman, Fraser McLachlan and the wider team have been leading the debate around how insurers can step up to the plate in support of a resilient market.

Throughout the quarter, our presence at key industry events has demonstrated that as emerging technologies reshape the sector, TMGX is ready to help the industry navigate evolving risks. The concept of a ‘Nuclear Renaissance’ took centre stage as Soheil Karimian and Eva Merpillat Guiraudet engaged with stakeholders at the World Nuclear Exhibition. Fraser’s COP30 presentation highlighted the global rise and growing footprint of data centres – as featured in The Sustainable Insurer.

In November, TMGX also played host to Tamarindo’s Power-to-X Leadership Council working group, engaging with green hydrogen developers to better understand the role of insurance in driving forward the emerging P2X market – and took the opportunity to speak directly with leading clean infrastructure lenders through a Credit Risk Roundtable in October.

On the core renewables front, TMGX speakers have examined the escalating impact of extreme weather, shared lessons from recent claims activity, and explored how the growing scale of equipment is reshaping risk.

Fraser took the stage at Financing Energy Transition 2025, and delivered a keynote at the WTW Global Renewable Energy Conference – while Fraser and Roy’s participation at the Onshore Energy Conference, Evan Hobbs’ session at Energy Insurance Americas, and Michael Carrington and James Totton’s attendance at the Battery Asset Management Summit all highlighted the risks, technologies, and evolving needs shaping the sector, as well as how Tokio Marine GX is supporting the industry through the transition.

Stay tuned for updates on our events participation in 2026!
